1. Create it
Start by logging in and defining a new campaign. Give it a name, a subject etc. It's as easy as clicking a button or two and entering some basic info.
2. Style it with a template
Next select a template from your template library. We'll design and setup one or more custom HTML templates for you, or you can select one of the free generic templates. Once we've setup your templates, it's as simple as selecting the one you want.
3. Add content
Once you've selected a template, it's just a matter of adding your content. Enter your text, style with our built in editor and upload any addittional images you want to include and save. Easy Peasy.
4. Select your recipients
Next, select the subscriber list you want to send to (you can have several different subscriber lists if you wish) with the click of a button. You can also add or remove new subscribers on the fly OR automatically import them into your list. So simple.
5. Send it
Almost done. Now just decide when to send your mail-shot. Right now or at a pre-scheduled time. Just pick and go. It's so easy and even a little fun.
6. Analyze it
Your mail's gone. Now what. Did they get the message? Checkout the Reports tab and almost instantly you'll start to see how many emails are being read, links clicked, bounces and more. Instant feedback that helps you test, measure and refine your message. Cool.

what does it cost?

For each mail-shot/campaign, we charge a simple delivery fee of $20 plus 5c per email recipient. All prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST. It couldn't be easier or more cost effective.
So for example...
Let's say you're sending an email newsletter to 1000 customers. To send this newsletter, you will be charged the $20 delivery fee plus 5 cents for each recipient ($50). This makes a total of $70.

We can design you a beautiful HTML email template based on your requirements or we can take an existing design from your graphic designer or agency and code it so that it works with MailMachine or you can create your own.

Frequently asked questions
Why would I pay to send my email newsletter? Can't I just use Outlook or Apple Mail?
This one is easy – for the reports and for the automated opt-outs. MailMachine provides invaluable feedback and data that you can use for reports, for understanding your audience better or even to help refine your marketing strategy. Secondly, anti-spam legislation now requires you to provide an easy mecahanism for recipients to opt out of your email list. MailMachine automates opt-outs, even across multiple lists and helps you stay compliant. MailMachine also provides you with a sign–up form, perfect to place on your home page!
Are there any hidden fees?
No, there are no hidden fees. There is no account setup or monthly access fee, which some service providers charge. You only pay for what you use. $20 per campaign delivery fee + 5 cents per subscriber. That's it!
What about GST?
For New Zealand customers we have to add GST (obviously as a business you'll claim that back). For Non NZ customers no GST is payable.
Am I locked into using you guys to design our template?
No, not at all. If you already have a designer, that is fine. We will provide special 'tags' that can be placed into the HTML email design by your designer.
How does billing work?
Great question!Depending on certain criteria you will either be billed directly via credit card or you will be sent a monthly invoice for the MailMachine service. If your MailMachine account is being charged via credit card, then you will be asked to pay just before you send your newsletter or campaign. This is totally safe and secure. If you are billed via monthly invoice, payment is to be made upon receipt. We do not hold monthly accounts. Regardless of the billing method we use, you will only ever pay for what you use. So for example, if you send only 4 campaigns per year, that is fine!
How is our subscriber list managed?
We provide you, as part of our service, with a subscriber form that you can place on your web page. We will also host your subscriber list free of charge, as part of our service. However we recommend you keep a backup copy of your subscriber list
What if I want to stop using MailMachine?
For whatever reason you may have for wanting to stop using the MailMachine service, you simply export your subscriber list and that's it! We will automatically remove any account that has been inactive for more than 12 months.
